GENERAL RULES AND INFORMATION

These rules are for the enjoyment and safety of participants and their animals.

If you have any questions, please reach out to a Board Member.

  • No parking by announcer's stand or designated spectators areas.

  • Activities must be confined to the Equestrian Center.

  • Overnight horse trailers/trucks must use the far East to South East end of the grounds.

  • Campfires are restricted to fire rings at the far East end of the grounds. Special permission must be given by the Board for fires elsewhere.

  • Clean out fire rings before departing grounds.

  • Place litter in trash barrels, dumpsters, or take home with you.

  • Dumpsters are for Harry Hughes' related activities only.

  • Dogs must be on a leash at all times.

  • Do not tie a horse to anything but a hitching post or trailer.

  • Do not turn your horse(s) out in arenas.

  • Spread your horse poop before you leave.

  • Vandalism will not be tolerated and vandals will be prosectuted.

  • Parents will be held responsible for the actions of their children.

  • Care for this property as if it were your own. Please leave the grounds in the manner they were found.

  • Alcohol and drugs are prohibited on premises.

  • No smoking in announcer booth/spectator areas.

  • All violators will be asked to leave.

Harry Hughes Youth Equestrian Center is not a public campground. Overnighters are permitted for trail riders and special events.​

For overnight reservations or special events, contact Al Staler at 419-266-2178.

  • Primitive toilets provided unless special event accommodations are made.

  • There are posts for horse tie lines.

  • There is a mounting step provided.

  • There are water spigots for watering horses. These spigots are on a well that is tested by the Health Department annually.

  • There are arenas to ride or warm up your horse(s). These arenas are not meant for turnout. We are not responsible for lost or injured horses if this rule is disregarded. Violators will be asked to leave.

Harry Hughes is a nonprofit organization run by volunteers. Donations to help offset maintenance expenses are appreciated.
